Sweet Pongal


INGREDIENTS

1.Basmathi rice-1 cup
2.Roasted moong dal-1/2 cup
3.Milk-1/2 cup
4. Sugar-1/2 cup
5.Ghee- 1/2cup
6.Cardamom-1/2 tsp
7. Cashew nut-10
8.Raisins-10
9.Water-21/2 cup.

METHOD

Wash and cook rice and moong dal in a cooker. Add sugar and milk with cooked rice and dal. Add ghee and keep on stirring until everything blends well.

Heat a little ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins, crushed cardamom, add this to the pongal. Serve when it cools down.
