Puliyodharai Saadham-Tamarind rice
Ingredients
1.Cooked basmati rice-2 cups
2.Green chilly-1-2
3.Ginger- 1 small piece
4.Coriander leaves-1/2 cup
5.Roasted peanut-2 tbsp
6.Urad dal-1tsp
7.Mustard-1 tsp
8.Red chilly-2
9.Fenugreek-a pinch
10.Asafoetida – a pinch
11.Salt to taste
12.Tamarind pulp-2 tbsp or marble size tamarind
13.Tumeric powder-1/2 tsp
14.Oil- 2 tsp
Method
Heat oil in a pan, add items 5-10 and fry.
Add items 2-4, salt and turmeric powder, saute for few min.
Mix cooked rice with tamarind pulp, add the fried items and mix well. Serve after ½ hr with pappad.
