Dhokla
Ingredients
1.Raw rice-1cup
2.Gram dal-1cup
3.Tuar dal-1/2 cup
4.Urd dal – 1/2 cup
5.Ginger-1 inch piece
6.Green chilly -8
7.Turmeric powder-1tsp
8.Cumin seeds-2 tsp
9.Sour butter milk-enough to make the batter (like idly)
10.Soda powder-1tsp
11.Coriander leaves or curry leaves -1 bunch
12.Salt -to taste
13.Oil – 2 tbsp
14.Red chilly – 2
15 Mustard seeds – 2tsp
16.Asafoetida- a pinch

METHOD
Soak rice and dals for 3-4 hrs and grind to slighty coarse paste.Add soda powder and butter milk and mix well. Allow the mix to ferment over night.
Next morning add cumin,ginger,green chilly (chopped)turmeric powder, asafoetida & salt and mix well.

Grease a plate, fill it with half of the batter. Steam like idly for 20 -25 mts or till done.Allow to cool, then cut dhoklas into cubes.Season with mustard seeds ,red chilly and curry leaves.Garnish with grated coconut and coriander or curry leaves.
