PALAK PANEER



Ingredients

1.      Palak or Spinach -1 bunch
2.      Ginger - 1 inch piece
3.      Garlic-3 clove
4.      Green chilly -2
5.      Butter -2 tbsp
6.      Cumin(jeera) -1 tsp
7.      Onion -2 finely chopped
8.      Tomato -2 finely chopped
9.      Turmeric pdr -1 tsp
10.  Garam masala - 1tsp
11.  Cream -3 tbsp
12.  Salt as required

Preparation

1.Blanch the palak and blend it into a smooth paste along with items 2, 3, &4 (no need to add water) keep aside. 

2.In a pan heat butter add jeera, sauté well, add chopped onion and sauté until it turns slight brown. Then add chopped tomato, sauté till it turns soft and mushy, then add the palak paste, 1/2 cup of water and salt and bring to boil. Further, add the cubed paneer and mix well. To this add garam masala and sauté then lower the flame and cook for another 5 mts.

3.Finally add the cream and turn off the stove. 

4.Serve hot with chappthi or paratha.
