PAVAKKA (BITTER GOURD) KICHADI
Ingredients
1.
Pavakka - 3-4
2.
Green chilly - 4
3.
Grated coconut – ½
cup
4.
Jeera – ½ tsp
5.
Yogurt - 1cup
6.
Mustard -1 tsp
7.
Dry red chilly -2
(broken into 2 pieces)
8.
Oil
9.
Salt as required
Method
1.Wash and slice the pavakka into
thin pieces. Then deep fry the pieces in oil until it turn into light brown in
colour and keep aside.
2.Grind the items 2-4 to a fine paste adding ¼ cup yogurt and salt. Add the ground paste to the fried pavakka and mix well adding the remaining yogurt.
3.Heat some oil in a pan, add mustard, red chilly and curry leaves, let it splutter and add this in to the kichadi.
4.Serve hot with rice.
