TOMATO DAL CURRY
Ingredients:
Tuvar dal – ¾ cup, Water-2 cup, Tomato -3-4 chopped, Green
chilly - 4 chopped, Shredded coconut – ½ cup, Chopped onion – ½ cup, Turmeric powder -1 tsp, Salt as needed
Method
1.
Cook the dal adding
turmeric powder, green chilly and salt in a cooker with required water for 3
whistles in high flame and 1 whistle in low flame.
2.
Grind the
shredded coconut and chopped onion into a smooth paste.
3.
Add chopped
tomatoes and coconut paste into the cooked dal; bring to boil for few mins till
the tomatoes are cooked. Check the salt and turn off the flame.
4.
Serve hot with
rice
Superb with rice or chappati! Also very easy to make.
