TOMATO DAL CURRY





Ingredients:

Tuvar dal – ¾  cup, Water-2 cup, Tomato -3-4 chopped, Green chilly - 4 chopped, Shredded coconut – ½  cup, Chopped onion – ½  cup, Turmeric powder -1 tsp, Salt as needed
  

Method

1.      Cook the dal adding turmeric powder, green chilly and salt in a cooker with required water for 3 whistles in high flame and 1 whistle in low flame.

2.      Grind the shredded coconut and chopped onion into a smooth paste.

3.      Add chopped tomatoes and coconut paste into the cooked dal; bring to boil for few mins till the tomatoes are cooked. Check the salt and turn off the flame.

4.      Serve hot with rice
