COUNTRY PEPPER CHICKEN



Ingredients
  1. Chicken pieces (preferably boneless) -1kg 
  2. Onion - 4 (chopped) 
  3. Garlic - 6-8 (crushed) 
  4. Green chilly -2chopped 
  5. Curry leaves - a handful 
  6. Black pepper- ¼ cup (can reduce to your choice) 
  7. Fennel seeds/ Perumjeerakam -3 tbsp 
  8. Salt as needed 
  9. Oil - 3tbsp 
  10. Corn flour -1tbsp
Method
  1. Dry roast black pepper and fennel seeds, powder it and keep aside. 
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves and crushed garlic, sauté until garlic turns into light brown.
  3. Add chopped onion and green chilly, sauté for 5-8mins.
  4. Add cleaned and washed chicken pieces, salt, pepper and fennel powders (no need to add water). 
  5. Cook in medium heat till the chicken pieces become soft and tender.
  6. Finally mix the corn flour in 1/4 cup water and add to the chicken and cook till the gravy thickens.If you want dry pepper chicken, avoid corn flour.
  7. Country pepper chicken is ready to serve with ghee rice or Roti
