GREEN PEAS PARATHA
Ingredients
1. Cooked green
peas -1cup (mashed)
2. Potato boiled
-1no (mashed)
3. Finely
chopped green chilly -5
4. Jeera -1tsp
5. Ajwain -1tsp
6. Ghee - 2tbsp
7. Salt as
needed
8. Wheat - 1cup
9. Maida -1cup
10. Water as
needed
11. Oil
Method
1. Heat oil in a
pan, add jeera and ajwain roast it and add chopped green chilly, sauté for
2mns, then
remove from fire.
2. Add the
above to
the mashed green peas and potato, add little salt, mix well and keep aside.
3. Take a mixing
bowl, add wheat flour and maida, sprinkle ghee and salt, mix well, add enough
water and knead to soft and smooth dough, cover and keep aside for 30mins.
4. Take small
balls from the dough, dust some maida and roll it out into a circle of 4-5 inches
diameter. Then place the green peas filling in the centre, cover and seal the
edges firmly.
5. Dust the sealed
dough with maida and roll gently to a paratha of about. 6-7 inches. Sprinkle
flour as required while rolling.
6. Heat a tawa,
when
it becomes hot, place the paratha on medium heat and roast both sides by
flipping and pressing the edges gently with a spatula. While roasting sprinkle
ghee on both sides.
7. Roast till
the paratha is evenly cooked and has golden blisters on top.
8. Serve warm as
breakfast with sweet mango pickle and curd.
