MANGHA MULAGOSHYAM
Ingredients
Mango (ripe)-3 chopped,
chilly powder -1 tbsp, turmeric powder -1/2 tsp, asafoetida – ¼ tsp
fenugreek – a pinch, water - 2 cups, salt as needed.
For seasoning
Oil -2 tbsp (coconut oil
preferably), Mustard seeds – 1tsp, Dry
red chilly broken - 4 pieces, curry leaves a few.
Method
1.
Heat oil in a pan,
add the seasonings, sauté and add the red chilly and turmeric powders, asafoetida
and fenugreek and sauté again
2.
Add the chopped mangoes,
salt and water (enough to cover the mangoes) cook
in medium heat till it become soft and tender, and till the oil comes up.
3.
Add 1 tbsp jaggery if
you want more sweetness.
