CHICKEN TOMATO ROAST



Ingredients

Chicken -1 ½  kg, Onion -1 kg ,Tomato – ½ kg, Red chilly -25, Cinnamon -4 big pieces,Cloves-10, Oil / ghee - as required, Salt to taste, Tomato sauce – ¼ cup /3 tbsp


Method

1.Wash and clean the chicken pieces.

2.Grind the red chilly, cinnamon, and cloves adding little vinegar, into a paste.

3.Cook the tomatoes and ¼ kg onion pieces in boiling water till it become soft. When it is cooled grind the onion and tomatoes into a fine paste and keep aside.  

4.Marinate the chicken pieces with one half of the ground masala and keep it for 1 hr.

5.Slice the balance ¾ kg onion into thin pieces and deep fry in oil until brown and keep aside.

6.In the same oil, fry the marinated chicken pieces. If there is excess oil, sauté the other half of  masala paste,  add salt, onion-tomato paste and boil well until the oil separates.

7.Then add the fried chicken pieces and fried onion and sauté till you get thick gravy.

8.Check the salt and add tomato sauce, mix well.

9.Serve hot with Pulauv or Roti.
