CHICKEN THORAN





Ingredients

Cooked and shredded  chicken -200g,  Onion-2 cups (300g),  Ginger chopped -2 small pcs,  Garlic  cloves chopped - 6, Green chilly  chopped – 3, Curry leaves- 2 stems , grated  Coconut -1 cup (100g), Red chilly -3, Coriander pdr- 2 tsp (25g), Turmeric pdr-1tsp (15g), Fennel seeds (perumjeerakam) -1tbsp (15g), Pepper corn-10, Cinnamon-small pieces,  Cloves-6, oil –  ¼ cup or 60g (preferably coconut oil)



Method

1.Crush coconut, red chilly, coriander pdr, turmeric pdr, fennel seeds, cloves, cinnamon and pepper and keep aside. 

2. Heat oil in a frying pan, sauté the curry leaves, then add  ginger and garlic, let it turn slight brown, then add  green chilly and onion and sauté well. 

3.To this add the chicken, mix well, then add the grated coconut masala mix and sauté for 15-20 mts. When the fine aroma comes turn off the flame.

4. Serve hot with rice or roti.
