RAVA UTHAPPAM




Ingredients

1.      Rava -2cup
2.      All purpose flour /Maida -1cup
3.      Yeast -1tsp
4.      Sugar- 2tsp
5.      Warm milk – ½ cup
6.      Shredded coconut -1 (ground to a smooth paste)
7.      Egg -1 optional
8.      Salt

Method

1.      In a bowl add yeast, sugar and warm milk and keep for ½ hr for fermenting.

2.      Mix Rava and Maida In a deep bowl, add the fermented yeast mix  and mix well adding water and adjusting consistency. Keep overnight.

3.      Next day add beaten egg and shredded coconut paste into the Rava Maida mix and add enough water and salt.  After one hr check water consistency of the mix and add more if required. It must not be too thick or thin.

4.      Heat a tawa on medium flame and when it becomes hot, pour the batter and spread gently to make uthappam.
