MAMBAZHA PULISSERI




Ingredients

1.      Ripe Mango -3
2.      Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
3.      Chilly powder -1tsp
4.      Curry leaves
5.      Salt
6.      Water -1cup
7.      Coconut -1shredded
8.      Jeera -1tsp
9.      Green chilly -5
10.  Sour Butter milk -1½ cup (sour)
11.  Jaggery - according to your taste.

For seasoning

1.      Dry red chilly -2broken
2.      Mustard -1tsp
3.      Fenugreek – ½ tsp
4.      Curry leaves - a few
5.      Oil -2tbsp

Method

1.   Cook mangoes in 1cup of water with turmeric powder red chilly powder and salt, until they become soft and tender.

2.     Grind the coconut, green chilly and jeera to fine paste.

3.     Add this ground paste to the cooked mango and bring to boil in medium heat.

4.     Add butter milk, jaggery (for more sweetness) and curry leaves, check salt, stir well and turn off the flame.

5.     Heat oil in a pan, fry the seasoning and add to the pulisseri.


6.     Serve hot with rice.
