SEMIYA/VERMICELLI KESARI


 

Ingredients

  1. Semiya – 250 gms
  2. Sugar – 550 gms (powdered)
  3. Ghee – 100gms
  4. Cashew Nuts & Raisins – 50 gms (roasted in ghee)
  5. Cardamom – ½ tsp
  6. Saffron – ½ tsp (soaked in 2tbsp milk)

Method

  1. In a pan boil (1:3) water, add semiya and cook well until soft.
  2. When all the water have absorbed, add powdered sugar and ghee, mix well and continue to cook till the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Then add roasted nuts, raisins, soaked saffron and cardamom; mix well and remove to a greased tray.
  4. Cut to desired shapes after cooling.
