SEMIYA/VERMICELLI KESARI
Ingredients
- Semiya – 250 gms
- Sugar – 550 gms (powdered)
- Ghee – 100gms
- Cashew Nuts & Raisins – 50 gms (roasted in ghee)
- Cardamom – ½ tsp
- Saffron – ½ tsp (soaked in 2tbsp milk)
Method
- In a pan boil (1:3) water, add semiya and cook well until soft.
- When all the water have absorbed, add powdered sugar and ghee, mix well and continue to cook till the sugar dissolves completely.
- Then add roasted nuts, raisins, soaked saffron and cardamom; mix well and remove to a greased tray.
- Cut to desired shapes after cooling.
