KADALA PARIPPU/CHANA DAL CHUNDAL

 


Ingredients

  1. Kadala Parippu – 250 gms
  2. Shredded Coconut – 100 gms
  3. Turmeric powder – a pinch
  4. Ginger, Green chilly, Salt - as needed
  5. Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
  6. Mustard – 2 tsp
  7. Dry Red chilly – 2
  8. Oil – 2 tsp
  9. Curry leaves –few

Method

  1. Soak kadala parippu over night and cook adding salt and turmeric powder (don’t get over cooked).
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard, let it splutter, add chilly, curry leaves and asafoetida; then add the chopped ginger , green chilly and shredded coconut to the cooked kadala parippu, mix well.
  3. Serve as snack.
