KADALA PARIPPU/CHANA DAL CHUNDAL
Ingredients
- Kadala Parippu – 250 gms
- Shredded Coconut – 100 gms
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
- Ginger, Green chilly, Salt - as needed
- Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
- Mustard – 2 tsp
- Dry Red chilly – 2
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Curry leaves –few
Method
- Soak kadala parippu over night and cook adding salt and turmeric powder (don’t get over cooked).
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard, let it splutter, add chilly, curry leaves and asafoetida; then add the chopped ginger , green chilly and shredded coconut to the cooked kadala parippu, mix well.
- Serve as snack.
