MEEN PEERA PATTICHATHU
Ingredients

Kozhuva (netholi)
fish -250 gms

Grated coconut -1/2
cup

Shallots -10
4.
Ginger -1 inch pc
5.
Garlic cloves - 4
6.
Green chilly - 5
7.
Turmeric pder - 1/2tsp
8.
Red chilly pder -
1tsp
9.
Kudampuli - 2 pcs
10. Salt
11. Coconut oil -2 tbsp
12. Curry leaves -2 stems
Preparation
1.Firstly, clean the fish well and keep aside. Crush
items 2-8 in a mixer and then mix it with the raw fish adding salt and curry leaves.
2.Heat a pan or earthen pot, put the fish mixture, then add ½ cup of water and cook without covering the pot. When it starts to boil, lower the flame and cook for 10-15 minutes and allow the mixture (peera) to dry out. Take care that the peera does not stick the bottom of the pot.
3.Finally, sprinkle coconut oil and serve hot with rice.
