CHICKEN CHATTI CURRY





 Ingredients

1.      Chicken -1kg (small pieces)
2.      Onion -2 big (cut into thin slices)
3.      Ginger - Garlic paste-2 tbsp
4.      Salt
5.      Vinegar -2 tsp
6.      Coriander -3 tbsp
7.      Jeera -1tsp
8.      Mustard -1 tbsp
9.      Cardamom -8
10.  Cinnamon -1 inch
11.  Cloves -4
12.  Chilly powder -3 tsp
13.  Turmeric powder -1tsp
14.  Dry red chilly -4
15.  Coconut milk -300 ml
16.  Corn flour -50 gm
17.  Oil-4 tbsp
18.  Curry leaves –handful
19.  Water-1 cup

 Preparation

1.In a hot pan dry roast items 6 to11 and grind to a fine masala powder. 

2.Marinate the chicken with salt and corn flour and keep aside. 

3.Heat a pan, sauté items 2 &3 till it become slightly brown, add the marinated chicken pieces and sauté for 5 minutes. To this add water and cook by closing the pan with a lid. When the chicken become soft and tender, add the powdered masala and cook for few more minutes. 

4.Finally add coconut milk and after few minutes add slit dry red chilly, curry leaves and salt if needed.

5.Serve hot with roti or rice.
