PANEER PARATHA
For stuffing
1. Paneer -250g
2. Boiled potato -1 big
3. Green chilly (finely chopped) -4
4. Ginger-1 tsp
5. Coriander leaves -2 tbsp finely chopped
6. Jeera powder - 1tsp
7. Ajwain – ½ tsp
8. Chaat masala -1tsp
9. Salt
For dough
1. Wheat flour -2 cups
2. Oil-2 tbsp
3. Water as required
4. Salt to taste
Preparation
Take
bowl mix wheat flour with salt and oil, pour water slowly and knead the flour
into soft smooth dough and keep aside for 30 minutes.
For stuffing
1.Put
the grated paneer in a bowl, to it add items 2-9 and mix well so that all the
ingredients are uniformly mixed with the grated paneer.
2.After
resting time knead the dough again and make small balls from it, dust
some flour on the dough and roll the dough to a circle of about 4 – 5 inch
diameter. Place a spoon of stuffing in the middle, cover the edges with your
fingers and flatten the ball sprinkling some flour and finally roll the dough
into a circle of about 6-7 inch diameter.
3.Heat a frying pan, when it becomes hot keep the flame in medium, place the paratha to cook for a few seconds. When bubbles start coming on top, flip it and apply butter over it and cook the other side too by pressing lightly by the spatula. When both sides are cooked, the paratha is ready to serve with pickle and curd.
