CHICKEN PORIYAL
Ingredients
Chicken pieces (or mutton) -500gms, small
onion-200gms, garlic -100gms, Ginger -50gms, Green chilly -4, Pepper powder-1
tbsp, Chilly powder-1 tbsp, Turmeric powder- ½ tsp, Coriander powder-2 tbsp,
Garam masala -1 tbsp, Fennel powder-1 tbsp, Curry leaves -2 stem, Vinegar-1tbsp,
Salt, Oil -3 tbsp
Method
1. Crush
onion, ginger, garlic, green chilly, curry leaves and the powders and salt
together adding vinegar.

Marinate
the chicken pieces with the above crushed mix for at least 1 hr.

Heat
oil in a pan, add the marinated chicken and cook in low flame (no need to add
water).
4.
Cook
in low flame till all the water evaporates and the chicken pieces are fully covered
with masala. Finally sprinkle some fennel powder . Chicken poriyal is ready.
5.
Serve
hot with rice and sambar.
