IDLI UPMA
Ingredients
- Idli - 10
- Onion – 1 finely chopped
- Ginger – 1 small piece
- Green chilly -2 finely chopped
- Asafoetida – a pinch
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 2 tsp
- Dry red chilly – 2
- Curry leaves -2 springs
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt as needed
- Butter milk – ¼ cup
- Make idli into small pieces with hands, mix with butter milk & salt and keep aside for 10 mins.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, let it splutter, then add urad dal, fry it until golden brown, then add red chilly, turmeric powder, asafetida and curry leaves, fry, then add chopped ginger, green chilly and onion, sauté well.
- To the above add the idli pieces and mix gently. Now your idli upma is ready.
- Serve hot.
