Heat oil and add Mustard, Red chilly, Ajwain, Bay leaf, Curry leaves, Fennel seeds, Cinnamon, Cardamom one by one, saute well, add the grated onion, saute until light brown.
Then add Asafoetida, Kashmiri Red chilly, Turmeric,Garam masala & Coriander powders, saute till raw smell goes.
To the above add tomatoes, saute until pulpy, then add 2 cups of water, boiled & crushed potatoes and salt, bring to boil in medium heat.
Finally add kasuri methi and turn off the stove.Serve hot with ROTI.
