TEA CAKE




Ingredients

Maida (all purpose flour) -250 gm, Baking pdr 1 tsp/4 gms, Milk -1/4 cup/60 ml, Powdered sugar- 250 gms, Butter-250gms, Egg yolks-4, Ground orange peel-1/4 tsp/2 gms, Grated lime rind -2 pinches, Egg whites-4, Vanilla essence – 1 tsp, Sugar – 5 gm /2 tsp


                                   
Method

1.Sieve flour and baking pdr together.

2.Soften the butter, to it add sugar, beat well, then add egg yolks, beat well, in between add the orange peel and lime rind.

2. After the butter –sugar mixture has become soft and fluffy; add the flour mixture one spoon at a time.

3. After each spoon of flour, add a little milk, repeat this till all the milk and flour finished up.

4. Fold all the flour well into the butter mix

5. Add vanilla essence and sugar while whisking the egg whites till it become soft and fluffy.

6. Fold the fluffy egg whites into the cake mixture gently.

7. Take greased cake tin; sprinkle some flour, let the excess flour fall off.

8. Pour the cake mixture into it without leveling.

9. Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degree F for 30 mts or till it is done.

10.Take out the cake after 20 mts. Yummy tea cake is ready to serve.
