GREEN PEAS POTATO KURMA



Ingredients

Green peas (fresh or frozen) -150 gm, Potato large-1 cubed, Onion-2 chopped, Tomato -1 chopped, Shredded coconut- 1cup, Coriander pdr- 1tbsp/5 gm, Red chilly pdr- 11/2 /3gm tsp,Turmeric pdr -½ tsp, Pepper -3-4, Fennel/sanuf-1 tsp, Cinnamon-1 small piece, Cloves-4, Ginger- Garlic paste -1tbsp/5gm, Salt as needed, Coriander leaves /curry leaves – a handful, Water – 1 ½  cup, Oil- 3 tbsp


Method

1.Cook the potato and green peas and keep aside.

2.Grind coconut together with the powders, pepper, cinnamon, cloves and fennel.

3. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, sauté well, then add ginger- garlic paste, sauté till light brown, then add chopped tomato sauté till it becomes soft.

4. Add the ground paste to the sauté onion mix, again sauté until the raw taste of the masala goes.

5. Then add the cooked green peas and potato stir well add curry leaves and salt. Add 1 ½  cup water; boil the kurma in medium heat for 15 mts till you get thick gravy.

6. Kurma is ready to serve with roti or appam.
