MORAPPAM- RICE CURD CAKE
Ingredients
Roasted rice flour- 1cup/150gms, Butter milk 1 cup/240 gms/, water-1
cup/250ml, Salt, Mustard seeds- 1tsp/5gms, Bengal gram-1 tsp/5gms, Urad
dal-1tsp/5gms, Dry red chilly-2 (broken) , Curry leaves -a few, Hing/asafetida-
a pinch, Oil-2 tsp/30ml
Method
1.Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, urad dal and Bengal
gram, roast well, then add red chilly, curry leaves and hing.
2. Then add the water, butter milk and salt, bring to boil
then lower the flame and add rice flour little by little and stir continuously
so that no lumps will form stir till all the water evaporates like upma. Cover
with a lid and cook for 5 mts .
3. Serve hot with chick pea curry.
