PANEER MUTTER MASALA

 


Ingredients

  1. Paneer – 250gms
  2. Boiled Green peas – 250gms
  3. Onion – 2
  4. Tomato – 2
  5. Green chilly – 3
  6. Ginger – garlic paste – 2 tsp
  7. Red chilly powder – 2 tbsp
  8. Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  10. Garam masala – 1 tsp
  11. Jeera powder – 1 tsp
  12. Shredded coconut – ½ cup
  13. Cardamom – 2
  14. Cinnamon – 1small piece
  15. Cloves – 4
  16. Shahi jeera/jeera – ½ tsp
  17. Oil as needed
  18. Salt as needed
  19. Water – 1 cup
  20. Coriander leaves /curry leaves

Method

  1. Chop paneer, onion and tomatoes into julienne (cut into thin long strips) and keep aside.
  2. Grind the shredded coconut into fine paste and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and shahi jeera or jeera and fry it
  4. Add chopped onion, sauté well, add ginger garlic paste and chopped green chilly, sauté.
  5. To the above add jeera, chilly, coriander and turmeric powders, sauté until raw smell goes, then add chopped tomatoes, cook well till it becomes soft, add the ground coconut paste and sauté well. Add 1 cup water; bring to boil in medium heat.
  6. Then add paneer and green peas and continue boiling until the oil comes up.
  7. Finally add garam masala and coriander leaves /curry leaves.
  8. SEREVE HOT WITH CHAPPATHI/APPAM
