PANEER KURMA
Ingredients
Paneer -250gm, Onion -2 finely chopped, Tomato -2finely
chopped, Ginger –Garlic paste -2 tbsp, Green chilly -2 big or small 4 (chopped),
Shredded cocconut-1 cup, Cashew nut -5, Fennel seeds -1 tsp (Perum jeerakam), Bay
leaf-1, Cinnamon-1 small stick, Cloves-4,Tumeric powder-1/2 tsp, Kashmiri chilly
powder-1 tbsp, Coriander powder- 1½ tbsp, Coriander leaves – ¼ cup. Salt as
needed, Ghee -3 tbsp.
Method
1.
Firstly sauté the
spices in ghee.
2.
Add chopped green
chilly, ginger –garlic paste, sauté well, add chopped onion sauté until it
become slight brown.
3.
Add the powders,
sprinkle little water and let it cook till the raw smell goes. Then add salt
and chopped tomatoes, cover the pan and cook till the tomatoes become soft.
4.
Add 1 cup water
and paneer cubes, cook till the cubes absorbs the flavor.
5.
Grind the
shredded coconut, coriander leaves, nuts and fennel to a fine paste.
6.
Add this paste into
paneer mix and bring to boil in medium heat. Continue to cook for another Few
mts.
7.
Paneer kurma is
ready to serve with roti or nan.
